Autumn presents a rich variety of events related to the delicacies of the season and among these we find the Quercetano Olive Oil, with a taste very distinctive between bitter and spicy; thanks to a small group of producers is back part of the olive oil market.
The Slow Food Versilia offers for Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Seravezza a day dedicated to this wonderful oil. We start the morning with visits to local mills and at 11:00 there will be a conference on the development of this important olive varieties. Following the opening of food stalls, where you will find mostly local oil producers but also many other goodies that are part of products related to this territory. In addition, a real cooking show, will be freshly prepared the typical soup frantoiana with Quercetano Extra Virgin Olive Oil … of course with final tasting for everyone! The afternoon will continue with the laboratory of taste on the properties of this highly sought olive oil.
An appointment greedy for all riders who can reach Seravezza through one of our routes, namely the 8 Passo del Vestito.
But not over, because the same day before leaving for the route 8 (or back) can get a little detour to the village Lupinaia polished to a party tastier than ever! We talk about the Chestnut Festival in Lupinaia, a small village in the Municipality of Fosciandora as that is an annual wine and food within the country. Enjoy the recipes of the chestnuts as necci, mondine, pancakes, chestnut and relive the atmosphere of the past thanks to the exhibition of old working tools and the representation of ancient crafts. Also you can visit the chestnut trees in the area.
One Sunday rather rich in flavor and tradition of choice also for the beautiful views that the Route 8 will offer.
